By Plane:
There are flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Canakkale Airport . The prices start from around 60€ .

Please note that the distance from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport is quite long and travelers find it difficult, costly and time -consuming to transfer from one airport to the other airport.

So, we advice you to travel to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport or Ankara Esenboğa Airport if you are going to take a flight to Canakkale. Or if you travel to Ataturk Airport, make sure you have at least 3 hours between flights.

Çanakkale can be reached by the frequent intercity bus services from Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara. Intercity buses are all modern and air-conditioned. They run almost every hour, day and night. Avoid travelling during National Holidays when there is shortage of places.

Please keep in mind that it takes around 6 hours from Istanbul / Izmir to Canakkale and 10 hours from Ankara to Canakkale. 

If you arrive in Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport :

• Before your travel, please visit the Bus companies in order to find Ticket Agencies web-page at the below in order to buy your ticket to Canakkale. 
• Take HAVATAS Bus Services to KADIKOY CENTER ( The last stop) 
• You can also take a taxi but it might be expensive. 
• There are several ofices of bus companies at the center. You should look for TRUVA, KAMIL KOC or METRO
• Get your Coach Ticket to Canakkale from one of these offices.
• Offices will provide you free shuttle services to the bus station.
• Buses from Istanbul enters a ferry before arriving in Canakkale. You do not have to pay any extra fare for the ferry. It is all included in the Coach fare. 
• Journey to Çanakkale takes about six hours. 

If you arrive in Istanbul Ataturk Airport :

• Take the subway to ESENLER OTOGAR ( Coach Station) - The cheapest option.
• You can also take HAVATAS Bus Services to ESENLER OTOGAR 
• Taxis are availbale but it may be expensive.
• Get your a Coach Ticket to Canakkale 
• Buses from Istanbul enters a ferry before arriving in Canakkale. You do not have to pay any extra fare for the ferry. It is all included in the Coach fare.
• Journey to Çanakkale takes about six hours 

 

If you arrive in İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport

• You can get a City Bus the OTOGAR (Coach Station)
• You can also take HAVATAS Bus Services to OTOGAR Main Bus Station
• Get your Coach ticket to Canakkale
• Journey to Canakkale takes about six hours.
