Strengthening Academic Collaboration Between Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev"

On November 26, 2024, lecturers Seher Kadirova, Tsvetelina Georgieva, and Nicola Mihailov from Bulgaria's prestigious University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" visited Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) within the framework of the Erasmus Teaching Mobility Program.

The visiting academics were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Çay from the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technology Engineering, Dr. Emrah Yağmurlu, Coordinator of the Office of International Relations, and Lecturer Çağrı Ege, responsible for Erasmus Interinstitutional Agreements. During the meetings, opportunities to enhance mobility for students and faculty between the two universities were discussed. Additionally, ÇOMÜ students were invited to participate in an upcoming international event to be held in Bulgaria by the University of Ruse.

This visit is considered a significant step toward deepening academic collaboration and strengthening cultural and educational ties between the two institutions. The relationship between ÇOMÜ and the University of Ruse aims to create new opportunities for both universities’ students and academic staff.

The ÇOMÜ Rectorate emphasized its belief that such reciprocal visits will enhance the synergy between the two universities and contribute to their internationalization goals.
